The Public Policy Network exists as a resource for individuals and organizations developing, commissioning, conducting and debating policy-relevant research. It also serves as a reference point for those looking for an expert opinion on a particular issue.
Our public sessions and other Events raise and debate issues of common concern to policy researchers, policy makers, professionals and practitioners as well as the general public, and are usually led by one or more guest speakers. Registration is usually free, but must be made in advance.
Working Groups bring together researchers and others for continuing discussions on a particular aspect of public policy. Groups are led by an Edinburgh researcher working with a partner outside the University. Each group includes individuals from a range of Schools, disciplines and organizations.
The website also includes profiles of individual People at the University and their research interests. It also lists policy-related research Projects, Centres and Institutes at Edinburgh, as well Links to other research and policy networks in Scotland.
